The SF Youth Arts Summit is an afternoon of visual art, performances, and workshops by and for youth presented by Out of Site youth arts center. The afternoon features youth from Out of Site, Youth Uprising, Marsh Youth Theater, YBCA, BAYCAT, Oasis for Girls, Youth Speaks, June Jordan High School, City Arts & Tech High School, DJ Project, Chrysalis Studio, Balboa CAST and more. The Marsh's End of Semester Show

Description: A culmination of all of the Fall classes at The Marsh, including the Teen Troupe's musical production of TRUTHTOPIA, which Ms. Rebecca choreographed. And the HIP HOP class will end the show with their piece, which includes Hip Hop, Merengue, and lots of student input. Potluck to follow.
Teen Latin Dance Showcase

MBP performs at Mission Community Market Opening

Free Class for National Dance Week

Description: FREE CARNAVAL/HIP HOP Class for National Dance Week. The 1st of a 6 week class for students 3rd grade and up to parade in SF Carnaval, May 29, 2011. The first class is free, but the entire class and parade only cost $50-75(Plus cost for Costume).
"As You Like It" at Mission Community Market

Description: Come see excerpts of our updated version of "As You Like It"--written by the high school and middle school aged students at The Marsh, it is a modern take on a great comedic classic. Mayor Ed Lee's Townhall Meeting in the Mission

Description: MBP is performing "Hero" in honor of Dia de Los Muertos. It is about a father who comes back to dance with his family. The show is FREE and is in the downstairs theatre of the Marsh at 6:00-6:30.

CARNAVAL PARADE 2010

Description: We are #30. Our theme is Futuristic Warriors. We are honoring our ancestors while moving into the future. We will be performing a dance inspired by IBO--an African-Haitian dance with roots from the Igbo people in Africa--about breaking out of slavery. We are mixing that with some SAMBA, Merengue, lots of HIP HOP and a tribute to Michael Jackson.
